Founder of Altamira Adventures, started at an early age in mountaineering, organized and participated in many official mountaineering expeditions in the Peruvian, as well as in the Argentine, Chilean and Ecuadorian Andes, and in the Swiss, Italian and French Alps.

Overlanding has been always part of his life, including experiences in Asia (Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China), Europe and North America, as well as many in South America (Patagonia, Carretera Austral, Ruta 40, La Guajira, Peruvian Andes and Amazon). Off-roading is another of his passions, with almost 20 years of travels in the dunes and mountains of out deserts. His experience also includes driving for the organization of the Dakar and Baja Inka cross country races.

Operations
He is a mountaineer and climber, Geographer by profession, kayaker since 2011, he has made numerous climbs and new routes in the mountains of Peru as well as rock roads in large walls, among which those of the Yosemite Valley, El Capitan and Mescalito stand out.
He is also a professor of Adventure Tourism at Universidad Científica del Sur and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
Involved in with Altamira Adventures since 2011, with exploration and design the new routes, and in charge of the field operations.
He is a specialist in vertical works and helitactic operations with ropes.

BSc in Veterinary Medicine, traveler and environmentalist. Currently pursues graduate studies in the field of Public and Environmental Health. Andrea has joined Alberto Lavarello in his journeys throughout Peru since birth and has experienced traveling on her own. She has been collaborating with Altamira Adventures from a young age. Member of the Young Explorers community of Mike Horn’s PANGAEA Project. Organised an international expedition in the Peruvian Northern Corridor in 2013. Andrea works in international cooperation projects. Experience in field research, media, science communication and press.

Finally, the main actors, the people of Peru, who spontaneously ALWAYS appear to give us a hand, to share what they have, or simply give us a smile and of course some of that popular wisdom, wrapped in simplicity and warmth.
